Welcome to RDS Driving School. By booking lessons, courses, or services with us, you

agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are in place to ensure lessons are

managed fairly, professionally, and efficiently for all pupils.

Lesson Bookings

All lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to instructor availability.

A booking is only confirmed once payment has been received. This can be made either as a

booking payment or full payment for the lesson, course, or package selected.

Lesson dates, times, and collection/drop-off arrangements will be agreed directly between

the pupil and instructor.

Payments

Payments for lessons, block bookings, and intensive courses are required in advance unless

an alternative arrangement has been agreed.

Block bookings and prepaid lesson packages must be paid in full before the first lesson

begins.

Lesson prices may be reviewed periodically. Any prepaid lessons already purchased will be

honoured at the agreed rate.

Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, cash, or other agreed payment

options.

Validity of Prepaid Lessons

Any prepaid lessons, lesson balances, or account credit must be used within 6 months from

the original payment date.

Unused lesson credit remaining after this period will expire and cannot be refunded or

transferred.

In exceptional circumstances, an extension may be considered at the discretion of RDS

Driving School.

Changes, Cancellations & Missed Lessons

If you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson, sufficient notice must be provided.

Lessons cancelled without the required notice period may be charged in full.

Missed lessons, including failure to attend without prior notice, are treated as completed

bookings and are non-refundable.

Where genuine emergencies arise, requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

If RDS Driving School needs to cancel a lesson due to illness, vehicle issues, or unforeseen

circumstances, as much notice as possible will be given and the lesson will be rearranged or

credited accordingly.

Punctuality

Lessons are scheduled for agreed start and finish times.

If a pupil arrives late, the lesson will usually still finish at the original agreed time.

Time lost due to lateness cannot always be recovered.

Where an instructor is delayed, any lost lesson time will be added where practical or

rearranged.

Driving Tests & Use of Instructor Vehicle

Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a practical driving test is subject to instructor approval.

Pupils must be considered suitably prepared and safe to take their test.

RDS Driving School reserves the right to decline use of the vehicle if:

● The pupil is not at an appropriate test standard

● Outstanding payments remain unpaid

● Safety concerns exist

Driving test-related fees, including vehicle use and instructor time, may be charged

separately unless otherwise agreed.

Student Responsibilities

Pupils are responsible for ensuring they:

● Hold a valid UK provisional or full licence

● Inform their instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or medication affecting their

ability to drive

● Attend lessons in a suitable physical and mental condition to drive safely

Lessons will not proceed if a pupil is believed to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or

any substance affecting safe driving ability.

Behaviour & Conduct

RDS Driving School expects all pupils to behave respectfully.

Aggressive, abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the tuition vehicle.

RDS Driving School reserves the right to refuse or discontinue future lessons where

behaviour is considered unacceptable.

Refund Policy

Payments already used for completed lessons are non-refundable.

Unused prepaid balances may be reviewed in line with these terms.

Refund decisions remain at the discretion of RDS Driving School.

Liability

While every effort is made to provide safe, professional tuition, RDS Driving School cannot

guarantee driving test outcomes.

We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or losses resulting from circumstances

outside our reasonable control.
